Our Legacy x Goldwin Release Snowboard Outerwear Collab for Deep Days

Technical winter kit overhauled with characteristic Stockholm style, all rooted in the iconic air and style of Swedish OG Ingmar Backman

When a new piece of gear impresses through concept and design, it's not uncommon to discover its origins are with a brand from either Japan or Scandinavia. It's less common, and more impressive, for two of the most lauded apparel design entities from those places to come together in focused collaboration. And to do so with a spirit that's so purely rooted in the activity of inspiration. But today, 9 January 2026, Japanese technical apparel giant Goldwin and Swedish fashion label Our Legacy have done it right with a new capsule collection dedicated snowboarding. (With supporting films by influential filmmaker Pierre Wikberg, stills by board world crossover Cole Barash, and further inspiration by legendary Swedish snowboarder Ingemar Backman.)

The Goldwin x Our Legacy collection injects Our Legacy's design perspective into Goldwin's 75 years of making outdoor gear, featuring a selection of winter apparel led by Our Legacy founder Jockum Hallin's own lifelong love of snowboarding. Key to the release is a mountain-ready jacket and bib pant made from 3L Gore-Tex. Accompanying the kit is an insulated vest, thermal midlayer hoodies, fleece hats, and an oversized tote made for hauling gear to the hill.

Goldwin x Our Legacy 3L Gore-Tex Jacket and Bib Pant

Drawing on previous Goldwin jacket designs, the new 3L Gore-Tex Jacket ($1000) was updated by Our Legacy Work Shop (the brand’s sub-line for recycled and experimental designs) to feature a streamlined pocket layout and co-branded velcro patches on both sleeves and chest. With hueless black and white choices that echo Our Legacy's yin-yang insignia, the jacket retains the majority of Goldwin’s technical details: helmet-compatible hood, underarm zip vents, and a cut patterned for layering and mobility—and made slightly mory boxy per Our Legacy's style-focused design tendencies.

Matching the jacket in the same black and off-white options, the 3L Gore-Tex Bib Pant ($1,000) expands coverage from Goldwin’s 3L Gore-Tex Pants. Look for more tonal Velcro brand patches and a full suite of adjustable components to dial in the fit before hitting the mountain.

The rest of the collection is made to accompany a complete layering system for riding deep snow—in Sweden's far north or on the hallowed slopes of Hakuba. The Fleece Hat ($100) has a full coverage, over-ear design and is made of Polartec fleece, and the Insulated Vest ($420) brings a layer of Primaloft insulation for extra core warmth that can also be worn as an outer layer with its Pertex windproof, water-repellant finish. Last, the Waffle Hoodie ($180) is a lightweight waffle fabric midlayer with scuba-style hood and extended length. Our Legacy's Work Shop branding on the back brings casual wear appeal to the piece but anti-odor tech and UPF50+ sun protection give it true technical chops for boot packing and backcountry riding.

As far as outerwear collabs go, the pairing might not make as big a mainstream splash as the likes The North Face x Gucci, but the meeting of Goldwin and Our Legacy suits more focused audiences tuned into street fashion and high-design with a need for high-functioning outdoor apparel. Snow sports really don’t need any more luxury injected into the industry, what they do need is gear made by people with an actual connection to the culture that puts equal emphasis on performance and refined designs.
