By now, the Ghost Whisperer Hooded Down Jacket is to many outdoor adventurers a staple. Weighing in at just 7.7 ounces and made with a specially designed multi-denier fabric proprietary to Mountain Hardwear, this ultralight down jacket is by many accounts the lightest full feature hooded down jacket in the world. Even so, we took it up to the Mount Jefferson Wilderness in Central Oregon earlier this summer for a proper test.
The Q-shield 800-fill down insulation is engineered to be moisture-resistant and wind-proof, making it exceptionally warm in a multitude of conditions. This proved true during such strict tests as, eating a pouch dinner, fly fishing, warming up after cliff jumping, and of course, late night card playing/whiskey drinking.
And don't forget that the Ghost Whisperer packs down into its own pocket, making it incredibly easy to store, and forever earning it a place in our adventure pack.
