A lot of brands publicly tout their commitment to environmental issues and social justice causes. Too often, when you dig around in the back end, not much is happening to address climate change or inequity with much sincere impact. Yet some brands walk the walk, and with its Walk Gently collection, which highlights Indigenous design in technical outdoor products that align with traditional ways of engaging with the outdoors, Arc’teryx is doing just that.
To align Walk Gently more closely with actual Indigenous influences, Arc'teryx partnered with Cole Sparrow-Crawford, a member of the Musqueam Nation in Vancouver. With his guidance, Walk Gently has become a platform that works alongside the brand to develop seasonal capsule collections inspired by Indigenous outdoor practices.
