Evie Carrick is a freelance writer based in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, where she was born and raised. Her first steps were taken in hiking boots, and by age two, she was skiing in the backyard. Today, she spends as much time as possible hiking, running, and skiing, both at home and abroad.
Evie has lived in five countries and traveled to more than 60, with adventures ranging from skiing out of a camper van in the Japanese Alps to helping build a skatepark in Beirut with a toddler in tow.
When she's not traveling or exploring the outdoors, she's writing about it. She contributes regularly to SKI Magazine and Travel + Leisure, has written for Outside and VICE, and has authored a series of travel journals for Simon & Schuster.
