Andy Cochrane is a freelance writer, commercial photographer, and film producer with a passion for big adventure. As the son of two park rangers, he grew up exploring big mountains in Alaska and is fortunate to still be doing just that. Andy is an expert contributor writing about outdoor gear, people, trips, trends, living in a truck, and impact inanities within the outdoor and sports industries.

Andy has contributed to the likes of New York Times, Wired, Outside, Men's Journal, Runner's World, Bicycling, SKI, Freeskier, Backpacker, Popular Mechanics, Thrillist, Inside Hook, Climbing, Manual, Matador, Beta, Trail Runner, Gear Junkie, Gear Patrol.

He holds a Design Thinking MBA from California College of the Arts.
