On x BEAMS x REI Release Surprising Outdoor Lifestyle Collection

Three brands hailing from three countries come together for a rare collab collection of apparel, footwear, and camp gear

We’re no stranger to reporting on outdoor gear collabs here at Field Mag HQ, but this might be the first time we’ve had the opportunity to cover the release of a three-way brand collaboration. Launching today 25 September 2025, we see a rare collection of apparel, footwear, and camping gear from On x REI x BEAMS. A surprising collaboration sees the Swiss running brand, American outdoor retailer, and the Japanese lifestyle retailer slash fashion label launch through each brand’s respective websites, and a selection of their retail stores.

With gear pulled from On and REI Co-op product lines, BEAMS ties it all together by steering the styling of color, branding, and iconography featuring high peaks from each brand’s homeland: the Matterhorn, Mount Fuji, and Mount Rainier. Look for footwear and sportswear from On, and a complete set of camp gear from REI Co-op.

On x BEAMS x REI Co-op Cloudrock Low

From On, we’re treated to special editions of their Cloudultra 3 ($210) trail running shoe and Cloudrock Low ($190) hiking shoe. The springy trail runner receives a rich iridescent purple color treatment with tucked away insole branding, while the waterproof hiking shoe takes on a shade of brown reminding us of more classic leather hiking boots.

BEAMS, long a coveted brand in the world of menswear, provides styling head-to-toe from On’s main line, outfitting the wearer for monochromatic strolls through the woods, or more high-paced trail runs. Tees and hoodies feature the three peak artwork while others stick to a more subtle triplet branding mark.

REI Co-op camp gear products ground the collection with some legit useful equipment to get out and enjoy a night’s rest in the great outdoors. Employing much of the same restyling efforts as the sportswear, we find a roomy three-season tent, camp chair, and sleeping bag + insulated pad combination rated to keep campers cozy down to freezing temps.

As a fan of just about everything BEAMS touches, I’m certainly interested to see them dive deeper into familiar outdoor recreation product spaces. Last year’s tennis-focused collab with On capitalized on the Challengers-fueled spike in the sport, but the many patchwork shell jacket collabs with Arc’teryx live completely rent free in my mind. Will On x BEAMS x REI Co-op earn itself a chapter in absolutely goated collab history? Only time will tell.
