Known best for their expertly crafted leather goods, Tanner Goods has long been a staple in the EDC world. Though in recent years the Portland, Oregon-based brand has made some serious steps into the home and lifestyle categories. And for this we'll endlessly commend and encourage. Case in point: their growing collection of widely celebrated bags, solving issues of the backpack, duffel, tote and dopp kit variety. Here, the leather is just a piece of the puzzle, playing second fiddle to the Salt & Pepper vintage Swiss military canvas, which as of today is now available in a rather versatile navy colorway.

As practical people constantly on the move, we're partial to the Wilderness Rucksack, a hefty pack well suited long weekends and extended travels. And when you don’t need 20L of capacity, the new Voyager Daypack offers a more reasonable size for running around town on the regular. Other highlights in our minds include the Everyday Tote and the Field Camera Bag. Both are attractive upgrades on bags we use often but rarely think about. And the tote is the perfect size to carry a handful of records, btw.

The entire collection is made with Cambara English bridle leather and solid brass hardware, and is naturally water resistant thanks to the DWR coating the canvas gets fresh off the loom. And as always, each and every piece is expertly made by hand under one roof in Portland.

Over the years we've had the opportunity to test a good deal of TG products and have nothing but postive things to say. We back their approach to creating finely crafted, highly considered products for most all aspects of life. After all, who needs more (or any, really) disposable bullshit in their life? Not us. But we'll stop now. Check em out for yourself. You won't be bummed.
