Nine Labor Day Essentials

Take advantage of early fall season savings with our recent curated shop update

TF Editors

Our pals at Huckberry are taking Labor Day off, so instead of the usual 3-day-weekend sale, they're marking their entire stock an extra 10% off a week early. At the same time, we've gone ahead and added another couple dozen items to our Huckberry x The Field curated shop. Below are nine highlights for getting geared up for fall, before, you know, it actually arrives.

Askov Finlayson All-Time Moleskin Overshirt

Askov Finlayson gets it. You can count on the Minnesota-based brand for timeless designs erected with rugged materials and a refined sensibility. The All-Time Moleskin Overshirt is just that. Wear it over your favorite flannel or henley, under a shell, or on it’s own. Either way, you’ll be warm, comfortable, and looking good.

Industry of All Nations Indigo Dyed Henley

Come for the hand-dipped indigo dye, and stay for the lightweight organic cotton material. This laboriously crafted henley is the perfect base layer for fall. And winter. And spring. Hell, wear it all year round—it’ll only get better looking with age.

Penfield Woods Jacket

The best part of fall is the return of sweaters, jackets, and jeans. The lightweight, water- and wind-resistant Woods Jacket falls firmly into the second category, and will easily become your go-to once the temps drop a bit. Plus the price is very right.

Lum-Tec x Huckberry Collaboration GMT Watch

Fancy watches have never been our thing. This little Timex has been our go to for ages now. Even so, this new American-made collaboration between Huckberry and Lum-Tec is so dang on-point we had to spread the word. The custom, 43 mm Combat B33 GMT watch is built to last—in an edition of just 50—and features a domed sapphire crystal, Swiss quart movement, green lumed dial, and a bunch of other cool details.

Matador Packable Transit Tote Bag 18L

Perfect for grocery runs, carrying camp gear, or as a backup bag while traveling, the versatility of 18L Transit Tote from Matador far outweighs its footprint—literally, the dang thing packs down smaller than a coke can and weighs just 3.1 ounces. Plus it’s made of waterproof Cordura nylon with taped seams and water-resistant zippers. Who knew totes could be so badass?

Danner Vertigo 917 Boot

It’s no secret we’re big fans of Danner. The iconic brand pioneered rugged, durable leather boots for woodsman, and with the recent release of the Vertigo 917, they aim to tackle the urban boot explorer market now too. At half the weight of the brand’s more iconic designs, this waterproof sneaker-inspired boot (named for an NYC area code) is an instant, modernized classic.

Duckworth Lightweight Crew Socks Set

Socks don’t get the attention they deserve. A shitty pair will ruin your day, so do yourself a favor and stock up on these American-made 100% merino wool socks. They’re naturally cooling, anti-microbial, and odor resistant. What else could you want?

Tracksmith Merino Harrier Tee

Tracksmith is the running apparel brand of choice around TF HQ. Their highly refined, minimal basics are the best. Take the Harrier($70) for example. Made of an 89% merino and 11% nylon blend, the shirt is designed to last ages, and be worn on often.

Malvaux Number 1 Huckberry Exclusive Knife

Do you believe less is more? That there is beauty to be found in the most minor details? Then this pocket knife is for you. The Malvaux Number 1 knife is made in Switzerland of hand-polished stainless steel with a body CNC-milled from hard anodized aluminum. Only 150 have been made in this fresh green color way, and you can only find it right here.
