Taylor Stitch Introduces Sailor Twitch Collection

Surf inspired apparel for boys and girls, plus a partnership with nonprofit Waves for Water

San Francisco’s Taylor Stitch never seems to take a break. Whether it’s releasing bike commuter friendly apparel for men and women, guy’s motorcycle gear, or seriously cozy camp clothing, rarely a month passes without a new drop. And, well, you guessed it, there’s still more to come. More specifically, another Sailor Twitch collection, delivering a host of men’s and women’s lifestyle apparel inspired by California surf culture.

This time around though, the folks at TS wanted to do more than just launch another line—so they partnered with with Waves For Water, a nonprofit focused on providing clean water to communities in need around the world. Taylor Stitch flew to the Dominican Republic to shoot the collection and distribute Waves For Water’s DIY water purification systems. Additionally, 100% of profits from the sale of their Ty Williams-designed Heavy Bag Tee will go to further support the program.

Feel good initiatives aside, the collection features a handful of standout styles. Standout in the sense that they look great, not in the sense that they’re loud or showy. In fact, the entire collection, as per usual, flies comfortably under the radar. The understated design language ensures each piece will stay in style for years to come.

Highlights on the men’s side include the waxed cotton blend Beach Jacket (shout out two-way zippers and front patch pockets) and Polartec Big Sur Jacket (shout out shirt jackets forever and always), made of 100% recycled plastic water bottles.

On the women’s collection we were most excited about the 100% washed cotton Abbot Popover and Surf Short. Both personify a carefree beach season vibe—consider the two just one more reason to ignore the fact that snow is in the forecast for later this week and focus on the better weather sure to come.
