As noted before, Japan’s and wander is a favorite of ours here at TF HQ. And for good reason. Their ability to take on classic outdoor apparel silhouettes and with the most subtle, technical design tweaks make them their own is nothing to be overlooked.

How many brands make a daypack, a fleece, an over shirt? Now how many make those timeless items as attractive, functional, and capable of being used seamlessly in multiple environments (i.e. in the city and at the campsite) as and wander? The answer is, not many. The fact that majority of their designs are unisex only further makes our case.

The Diamond Stitch Down Jacket is the most recent bit of outerwear to catch our eye. Made in Japan with lightweight Pertex Quantum nylon and 730 fill google down, the jacket is water repellent, durable, and warm as can be. Fleece lines the neck to keep the cold nylon material at bay, and the whole thing backs down into a pouch roughly the size of a large sandwich. And as mentioned, the cut is designed specifically to fit both men and women.

Keep up the good work, and wander, and we’ll keep wishing we lived in Japan. Deal? Deal.
