For founders Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, it’s important that and wander falls into the fashionable outdoor gear category, and not be labeled outdoor-inspired fashion. Though the two met some years ago while working for famed Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake, they’re both long time outdoor enthusiasts, and drew on this to launch and wander in 2011. In doing so, the two hope to reflect their design and fashion experience and outdoor knowhow in the products they design. And seeing as how and wander has quickly become one of our favorite brands at TF, we’d have to say they’re doing a damn good job of it.

In the past we drooled over the and wander x Paraboot collab, but now our sights are set on something a bit more attainable and utilitarian—the simply named 30L Backpack.

New for spring, the 30L Pack is a lightweight, highly functional pack for day hikes or aggressive commuting (lol). Each aspect is as considered as you’d hope, from the two-way waterproof YKK front zipper to the water repellent coating that’s been applied to the Cordura nylon body. The diagonal front-facing zipper allows for quick and easy access to the entire pack’s contents, while a range of interior pockets offer ample storage for EDC items and extra snacks for the trail. And as a cherry on top, all straps and cords are constructed of reflective material for increased visibility in low light conditions.
